The 1970’s had a major moment at NYFW last week as looks for fall 2015 made their way down the runway.
From long flared skirts and bell-bottoms to shearling jackets and baby doll dresses, from long and loose to short and tight, many of the major designers included one or more of the retro glam silhouettes in their Fall/Winter 2015 collections!
The past season we have seen jumpsuits and flares, tassels and ponchos and oh so much more of the boho chic aesthetic and thus (Thankfully or not…) this 70's revival is showing no signs of relenting!
Jumpsuits, tassels, high waisted pants, structured jackets - there are so many things to love about what this resurgence brings to the fashion game! This look is all about the jacket - a vintage fur sourced from a MN boutique. The patchwork is reminiscent of the folksy influence on this decade. And paired with a skinny jean and a pair of leather embellished leather booties in a cooresponding hue - this look is styled to bring the 70's to 2015!
This website is a great place to learn more about the influences on 1970's fashions!
So, what do you think? Will you incorporate the 1970's fashions into your wardrobe?
